Every year, a basketball tournament called March Madness is held in the United States. This tournament, which takes place between March and April, is organized by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and features both women's and men's basketball competitions. This year, the tournament was especially interesting for us, as we began collaborating with Tim Chartier, a mathematician at Davidson College who currently serves as a Distinguished Visiting Professor at MoMath, the National Museum of Mathematics in New York.

Tim is fascinated by sports analytics and has written a great book on data in sports titled Get in the Game. Tim also prepared a video to accompany this task (the link is in the accompanying materials), which is sure to appeal to any student interested in learning about probability. An exciting opportunity to connect sports and mathematics!
