¿Qué tan cerca de 100?
How Close to 100?
Description
This game is played in pairs. Two children share a blank hundreds grid. The first player rolls two numbered dice, and the numbers rolled are used to create a rectangle (array) on the hundreds grid. They can place the rectangle anywhere on the grid, but the goal is to fill it as much as possible. After drawing the rectangle on the grid, the player writes the math operation that describes the rectangle's area.
The second player rolls the dice, draws their rectangle on the grid, and writes their corresponding math operation. The game ends when both players have rolled the dice and can no longer place any more rectangles on the grid. How close can you get to covering all 100 squares?
Variation
Each player can have their own hundreds grid. The game proceeds to see who can fill their grid closest to 100.
