Reconocimiento Visual

El Reconocimiento Visual es conocer una palabra al verla en lugar de necesitar descomponerla. Cuando los lectores conocen inmediatamente las palabras escritas y lo que significan, comprenden más. Muchas palabras visuales son aquellas que no se ajustan a las reglas de decodificación fonética (por ejemplo, hoy, hola, huevo, güitarra, queso, buey, casa, caza) y deben ser reconocidas visualmente porque no pueden ser sonorizadas fonéticamente. Los lectores que tienen que esforzarse para descifrar muchas palabras en un texto pueden perder el hilo del significado general, especialmente con palabras no estándar.
